I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids

My niece Maariyah has been a patient at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) for the past three years receiving treatment for her asthma. I’ve had the privilege of visiting the hospital many times with her, and every visit has shown me just how incredible the care and dedication of the GOSH team truly is. The work they do for children and families is nothing short of life-changing.
Now, GOSH is building a much-needed new Children’s Cancer Centre — a place where young patients like Maariyah can receive cutting-edge treatment in a space designed just for them.
Sadly, children’s cancer research remains grossly underfunded. That’s why we’re asking for your support.
As a family, we’ll be taking part in a charity run/walk to help raise funds for this vital cause (I’ll probably be walking more than running!). Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference and brings us one step closer to giving more children a better chance at life.

RBC Race for the Kids 2025

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
