How your school can join the fun

Get the whole class – or even the whole school – moving with a 2k or 5k fun run. Zoom through your local park, turn the school field into a track, or explore scenic country roads. Wherever you are, you will help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Choose a date between Monday 6 October and Friday 10 October 2025 to host your RBC Race for the Kids at School charity fundraising event.

Who should take part in this school charity fundraiser?

All ages and abilities can join the in the charity fun run. Simply register your school for free, choose the location and set up your fundraising page.

Gather a team of teachers, pupils and parents and come together to fundraise to help beat childhood cancer.

How it works

1. Sign up your school today

Register your school today and your fundraising page will automatically be set up for you. We'll then send you fundraising tips and useful resources to help your school fundraising, including lesson plans and an RBC Race for the Kids presentation.

2. Plan your school fundraiser

Get a date in the diary between Monday 6 October and Friday 10 October 2025. Next, secure a venue (it can be in the school field or your local park!). Finally, send out invitations! You can invite students and parents to join the fun.

3. Fun-raise

Your school can kick off the fundraising right away! Share your fundraising page far and wide, using posters around the school, emailing parents, and inspiring students to get involved.

How your support will help children with cancer

No childhood should be cut short by cancer.

Research and treatments have dramatically improved survival, but cancer is still the biggest killer of children aged one to 14 in the UK.

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH’s current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children’s lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital a place that's a school, a playground, a garden and so much more.

That’s why we’re building a world-leading, child-focused Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH, where more children can have the best chance and the best childhood possible.

A place where kids have access to play and education alongside pioneering treatments. Where families can stay together through some of the hardest moments. Where access to outdoor space is a priority, and a focus on nutrition helps fuel recovery.

GOSH has a team of dedicated doctors, nurses and researchers who are specialists in the most complex childhood cancers. And there are architects and builders who can make our vision a reality.

Now we just need people like you.

Join RBC Race for the Kids and run, walk, wheel or scoot to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH and save more lives.

Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.
