How your school can join the fun
Get the whole class – or even the whole school – moving with a 2k or 5k fun run. Zoom through your local park, turn the school field into a track or explore scenic country roads. Wherever you are, you'll help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH.
Choose a date between Monday 5 October and Friday 9 October 2026 to host your RBC Race for the Kids at School charity fundraising event.
Who should take part in this school charity fundraiser?
All ages and abilities can take part in the charity fun run. Simply register your school for free, choose the location and set up your fundraising page.
Gather a team of teachers, pupils and parents and come together to help beat childhood cancer.
How it works

2. Plan your school fundraiser
3. Fun-raise
Your school is welcome to join us in Hyde Park on Saturday 10 October. Please make sure everyone taking part is signed up to the Hyde Park event by midday on Thursday 8 October 2026. There will be no on the day registrations this year.
Hyde Park FAQs
Q: How do I sign my school up to the Hyde Park event?
A: Head to the Hyde Park homepage to find out more information about the Hyde Park event and you can sign up your school group here.
Q: Do children need to be accompanied by an adult?
A: All children need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please ensure you are following your school’s recommended adult to child ratio.
Q: Can one teacher sign up a whole class?
A: Yes. One adult can register multiple children and adults in the same transaction. You can book up to ten tickets of each type for each distance. For larger groups, you may need to complete more than one registration.
Q: Should we do the 2k or 5k?
A: It’s completely up to you, and which distance suits the needs of your school and students! The 5k race starts at 10am and the 2k race starts at 11.50am.
Q: How should the school fundraise?
A: Upon registration, each adult will automatically get a fundraising page when they register. The adult registering the pupils can choose whether to set up individual fundraising pages for them. You can encourage everyone to fundraise on their own page, use a school team fundraising page, or both.
You can also fundraise offline, for example through bake sales, non-uniform days or paper sponsorship forms. You can then pay your offline fundraising into your fundraising page or through the GOSH Charity website.

How your support will help children with cancer
Cancer doesn’t care about childhood. It doesn’t care what seriously ill kids miss out on, like trips to the seaside or playing in the park with their friends.
But we do.
Despite great progress in treatments and cures, cancer is still the biggest killer of children aged one to 14 in the UK and around 1,900 children are diagnosed every year.*
At Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, we know that when cancer hits, childhood suffers. That's why we're building the new, world-leading Children's Cancer Centre at GOSH.
With cutting-edge facilities and an environment where pioneering research can thrive, this centre will be a beacon of hope for families facing the unimaginable. And because cancer shouldn’t get to steal anyone’s childhood, it will be more than a hospital building. It will be a school, a playground, a garden and a home-from-home.
Take on RBC Race for the Kids and join our team of doctors, builders, nurses, researchers and many more helping to build the Children's Cancer Centre – so we can give more kids with cancer the best chance and the best childhood possible.
Be part of it
Run, walk, wheel or scoot to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH and save more lives. Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.

All the funds raised will go towards the development of cancer care at Great Ormond Street Hospital. In the event that costs change, or the needs of the hospital or patients change, we reserve the right to redirect funds for use against the hospital’s most urgent needs.
