Join the Event Crew!

Saturday 11 October 2025
London's Hyde Park

Join the official RBC Race for the Kids Event Crew for a day of volunteering fun in London this autumn.

This event wouldn't be possible without our team of dedicated volunteers who help us bring the event day to life for the thousands of participants who take part each year.

This is a great opportunity to get involved and have fun while making a positive impact for seriously ill children and their families.

What's involved?

There are lots of fun varied roles to get involved with. Roles will be allocated closer to the event day - every role is valuable and important for making the event a success. Possibilities include:

  • Medal distributor
  • Cheerer
  • Stewarding around the park
  • And many more!

A full volunteer shift is 7am till 2pm on 11 October 2025 in London's Hyde Park. Ideally, volunteers will be available for a full shift, but a half shift is also available from 9am till 1pm.

How fundraising from RBC Race for the Kids will help beat childhood cancer

No childhood should be cut short by cancer.

The money raised from RBC Race for the Kids will help build the new Children's Cancer Centre at GOSH.

Research and treatments have dramatically improved survival, but cancer is still the biggest killer of children aged one to 14 in the UK.

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.

That's why we're building a world-leading, child focused Children's Cancer Centre, where more children can have the best chance and the best childhood possible.

Now we just need people like you.

This year, we're hoping to raise over £1 million, but we need you to help make it happen. Join RBC Race for the Kids and run, walk, wheel or scoot to help build the new Children's Cancer Centre at GOSH and save more lives.

Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.

All the funds raised will go towards the development of cancer care at Great Ormond Street Hospital. In the event that costs change, or the needs of the hospital or patients change, we reserve the right to redirect funds for use against the hospital’s most urgent needs.
