We're taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

We’re joining the race to help beat childhood cancer by taking part in RBC Race for the Kids

Shannon-Great ormond street is a lifeline for so many families. It goes far beyond the children’s treatment. It goes to the support to parents and families alike and it goes to letting kids be kids despite the troubles they face. It is easy to forget that these statistics we see represent more than just the patients but everyone beyond. In the UK approximately 1,900 children below the age of 15 are diagnosed with cancer.  By donating, GOSH will be able to use the funds to build a cancer centre to provide fundamental care and support  to the 1000s of families affected. As they say “the child first and always”, let’s provide longer and better childhoods💗

Amy- I volunteered with GOSH as a teenager and witnessed first hand the incredible work that takes place there. Not only did I see this with the children, but also to their wider families, ensuring they were fully supported during what would have been an extremely stressful and emotional time for them. There was also always a huge emphasis on allowing children to BE children, despite being under treatment. The kids were never defined by their conditions and were allowed and encouraged to play and do normal kid stuff! I’m so excited and honoured to be fundraising for such an incredible charity.
