Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids: Home Heroes
In April 2026 my little brother Arlo passed away aged 15 months, following a brave battle against high risk neuroblastoma. This is a rare and aggressive childhood cancer that requires specialised, intensive research to overcome.
To honour Arlo’s life - I am running a 5k Marathon in October to help raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital. For a long time GOSH was Arlo’s second home and as much as everyone took great care of him, they also looked after me and my family in the best possible way. By raising money I wanted to say thank you to all the nurses and doctors who unfortunately couldn’t help Arlo, but hopefully another brave child in near future.
Thank you for supporting me and keeping Arlo’s memory alive.

I’m joining the race to help beat childhood cancer by taking part in RBC Race for the Kids: Home Heroes
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
Please consider sponsoring us. Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.
