Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
I’m taking part in the RBC Race for the Kids because Great Ormond Street Hospital has a very special place in my heart. My daughter has been lovingly looked after by the incredible team there since birth, after being born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. From her very first days, they’ve provided life-changing care with expertise, compassion, and kindness.
This cause is also deeply personal for another reason — my brother passed away from Ewing sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. I know first-hand how vital specialist treatment, research, and family support are when facing life’s toughest battles.
This race is my way of giving back — to help GOSH continue bringing hope, support, and world-class care to children and families who need it most. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference.
RBC Race for the Kids 2025
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
Please consider sponsoring me. Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.
