I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Hi, I’m Evie and I’m 11 years old. On 11th October 2025 I’ll be running in the RBC Race for the Kids in Hyde Park to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

This year’s race is extra special because every penny raised goes towards building a brand new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH. The hospital cares for some of the sickest children from across the UK and beyond, and this new centre will mean they can give even more kids the best possible chance of beating cancer.

This cause is very close to my heart. My cousin had cancer when she was little — and she won her fight. 💪 Seeing them go through that made me realise how brave children are, and how important it is to have amazing hospitals like GOSH to help them and their families.

I’m so excited (and a bit nervous!) to take part in this challenge. Every donation, big or small, will help make a huge difference. Together, we can help give children with cancer the care, comfort and hope they need.
