I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

This Saturday, 11th October, Neev and I are lacing up our trainers for something special, a 2K run to support Great Ormond Street Hospital’s new Children’s Cancer Centre.

It’s not just about the distance, it’s about making a difference. Great Ormond Street Hospital does incredible work caring for children and supporting their families. We wanted to do something meaningful (and a little bit fun!) to give back and help get the Cancer Centre built.

Neev and I have been “training” in our own way, think mini sprints, plenty of giggles, and more than a little chocolate! We’re hoping to carry that same energy and enthusiasm into Saturday’s run.

This run is our small way of helping turn the dream of a new Children’s Cancer Centre into a reality, so that even more young patients can receive world-class care and families can have hope when they need it most.

RBC Race for the Kids 2025

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
