I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s virtual fun run challenge, RBC Race for the Kids: Home Heroes, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Fight against childhood cancer ❤️

This October, we’re taking on a family challenge to help raise money for children fighting cancer.

We’re hoping to move, skate, scoot and run at least 5K as part of our fundraising challenge for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.

Every mile we move will be dedicated to the incredible children facing cancer and the families walking alongside them.

Children should be spending their days playing, laughing, learning and making memories — not facing hospital appointments and cancer treatment. The work done by Great Ormond Street Hospital is truly incredible, and we hope that by taking on this challenge, we can play a small part in supporting the children and families who need them.

So this October, you’ll find us walking, running, skating and scooting our way towards our goal! 🛴🏃‍♀️🛹

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will mean so much and will help support children with cancer and their families.

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
