I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
We’re taking part in RBC Race for the Kids to raise money for GOSH Charity because this hospital has been a lifeline for our family.
Our little Olly was diagnosed with hydrocephalus when he was just one month old. He had urgent brain surgery to fit a VPshunt, and at just over two years old, he needed another operation when the shunt disconnected. Hydrocephalus is a lifelong condition, and complications can happen at any time. Knowing that Great Ormond Street Hospital is there for us gives us the reassurance we need to help Olly grow, thrive, and develop in the best way possible. Their care, expertise, and compassion mean the world to us – and to so many other families facing difficult journeys.
By taking part in this race, we want to give something back. Every donation helps GOSH continue their vital work, from rare diseases to life-threatening illnesses, the hospital gives children like Olly world-class treatment while supporting families through the hardest moments of their lives.
Together, we can give more children the chance for a brighter, healthier future. 💙
RBC Race for the Kids 2025
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
Please consider sponsoring me. Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.
