I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

On Saturday 11th October, Molly and Jack will be walking 5km around Hyde Park to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Over the years, we have seen the support and care this incredible charity has provided to a number of families.  More recently, in April last year, we found out that one of Molly's best friends at school, Penelope, had been diagnosed with Leukemia.  Instantly changing life for Penelope, her family and friends. 

Penelope's story, which is regularly updated on a Facebook page by her amazing parents, is nothing but awe-inspiring. No child should have to endure what Penelope has been through at such a young age. Her courage, bravery, strength, and resilience, while maintaining that beautiful smile - has been truly incredible! 

Molly and Jack wanted to do their part to help raise money for the hospital that is helping Penelope and countless other children. 

Any donations you could make for this incredible charity to help them continue the life changing work they do would be greatly appreciated.

RBC Race for the Kids 2025

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
