I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids

TEAM FRAZER
Frazer's GOSH journey started at 8 weeks old when he suddenly became severely poorly overnight with an unexplained infection that went to his brain.
GOSH took him from our local hospital to the Intensive care unit at GOSH on a life support machine where he remained for 2 weeks,. He was operated on and cared for by the fantastic Neurosurgery Team, coming back from many many brain surgery operations with very very little hope but the Surgeons and Dr's never gave up on him He remained there for 4 months and GOSH cared for him, for us as parents, and for his brothers and sister.
Frazer has had many more Brain surgery operations over the years and we have experienced family birthdays, summer holidays and even christmas day in GOSH over the years !!
We have done this race as a family 3 times before but now Frazer is 16 year old his care is now handed over to the adult Neuro Hospital and his GOSH journey has come to an end.
We are racing as a very emotional final THANK YOU to GOSH for saving Frazer's life many times over and giving us 16 years of his smile,

RBC Race for the Kids 2025

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.

Please consider sponsoring me. Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.
