I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
We are taking part on the Race for the Kids as a family to raise money for GOSH. Alfie has a rare genetic condition called Hermansky Pudlak syndrome type 5. This means he has nystagmus and oculocutaneous albinism and a bleeding condition. He is registered as visually impaired and we have regular support and check ups from GOSH to maintain his condition. The doctors and nurses at GOSH are always so lovely and friendly and they make Alfie's visits enjoyable rather than a chore or a difficult experience. GOSH are raising money to build a new children's cancer centre and we want to give something back for all the good they do for our family. Please donate generously, GOSH provide such wonderful care for young people and we would love to help them more.
RBC Race for the Kids 2025
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
