Jenson and Aurora’s story
Jenson and Aurora both have a brain condition called Chiari malformation in which a part of the brain (the cerebellum) at the back of the skull bulges through a normal opening in the skull where it joins the spinal canal. Jenson bravely had brain surgery at GOSH to help with some of his symptoms, and we are so grateful for their support.
As well as Chiari malformation, Aurora has lots of medical needs, including a rare genetic condition relating to the mutation to the Gene PTEN. Mutations of this gene are a step in the development of many cancers. Aurora continues to undergo many test and appointments for a range of medical conditions 🤍
