I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids

I was the kid who hated sports. Running? Torture. Team games? A nightmare. If you’d told me back then that one day I’d be training for a run, I would’ve laughed and sat back down.
But here I am, running. Not because I fell in love with sports, but because I found a reason that’s bigger than me.
I run to take care of my health. I run because I can. And most importantly, I run for the kids who are fighting cancer, and for those who never got the chance to grow up and chase their own finish lines.
Every step I take is for them: for their laughter, their courage, and their stories that deserve to be heard. I run so that other kids can have a future, and so that the ones we’ve lost are never forgotten.
This run isn’t just mine. It’s theirs. And it can be yours too. By supporting my run, you’re helping children survive, thrive, and dream again. Together, we can turn every mile into hope.
Because the kid who once hated sports is now running with purpose. And with your help, those steps can change lives.

RBC Race for the Kids 2025

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
