I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids

children have always held a special place in my heart as an early years teacher, I've seen firsthand how much the littlest ones can fight, grow, and surprise you. Running for GOSH feels like the most natural way to extend that love beyond the classroom. Every mile I run is for a child who deserves every chance at a healthy, happy life.

My why ✨️

Why I'm Running for GOSH 🏃‍♀️🩵
If there's one thing that has remained constant throughout my life, it's my deep love for children.
Spending my days as an early years teacher has been one of the greatest privileges I could have asked for. Watching little ones discover the world around them, find their voice, and grow into themselves it is something that fills you up in a way that is incredibly hard to put into words. Children are pure, brave, and endlessly surprising. And once they have your heart, they keep it.
That dedication doesn't stay behind when I walk out of the classroom door.
Which is exactly why, when I asked myself how I could contribute something meaningful beyond my professional life, running for Great Ormond Street Hospital became the obvious answer. GOSH stands at the frontline of children's healthcare a place where the most vulnerable young patients receive extraordinary medical care and where groundbreaking research gives families a reason to hold onto hope.
For me, this race is so much more than a personal challenge.
It is a commitment. To the children who are fighting battles no child should ever have to face. To the parents holding it together in waiting rooms, willing their little one through. To every tiny warrior who deserves nothing less than a full and beautiful life ahead of them.
Each mile I cover on that course carries a purpose far greater than myself and honestly, there is no greater motivation than that.
If you feel moved to support my journey and donate to GOSH, it would mean the absolute world. No contribution is too small when it goes towards changing a child's story. 🩵

RBC Race for the Kids 2026

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.

Please consider sponsoring me. Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.
