Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
Amazing Brains on the Run 🧠🏃🎂
Our 3rd year running for Eddie’s birthday — and raising money for GOSH.
For the third year in a row, we’re celebrating Eddie’s birthday by taking part in the GOSH Race for the Kids 5K and raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
What started as a birthday run has now become a little family tradition. ❤️
This year, as Eddie turns 6, we’re running as Team Amazing Brains.
Amazing Brain is a little idea we’ve been trying to bring to life — inspired by our own family experiences and by everything we’ve learned about how differently children can think, learn, feel and experience the world.
We’re still at the beginning, but the idea behind it is simple:
Every brain is different. Every brain has its own strengths and challenges. And every brain deserves to be understood.
That feels rather fitting for a 5K too.
Some of us will run. Some will walk. Some will be faster and some slower. We’ll each do it in our own way — but we’ll keep moving forward together.
🧠 Team Amazing Brains
Different brains. Different paces.
Growing together.
Most importantly, our birthday run is raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, supporting seriously ill children and their families.
If you would normally buy Eddie a birthday card or present, we’d love you to consider making a small donation to GOSH instead.
Thank you for supporting Eddie’s birthday run and helping us make this little idea into something real. ❤️
Third birthday run. 5K. Team Amazing Brains. Let’s make something amazing happen. 🧠🏃
RBC Race for the Kids 2026
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
Please consider sponsoring me. Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.
