I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids

Hello! My name is Aria and I'm taking part in the 𝗥𝗕𝗖 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Those who know me can confirm that I won't even run during volleyball training (or even go on walks!), so taking on this challenge is definitely a step outside of my comfort zone.

But it's one I'm really excited to take on for an important cause.

GOSH provides specialist care to seriously ill children and fundraising helps support the vital work that happens beyond the treatment itself. Working in the psychology field and having a strong drive to pursue a career in child development, supporting children and young people is something that is particularly close to my heart.

𝗜'𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟱𝗞 𝗶𝗻 𝟰𝟬 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀. I currently have absolutely no idea what my 5K time is, so I'm excited (and slightly nervous) to find out and see if I can reach my goal! I'll adjust my timing based on my estimated 5K time as I get into training (:
