Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
We're raising money to give back to GOSH for looking after Lily with her rare medical condition. She has a tumor in her sinus, which has already led to 2 surgeries with a third expected later in the year. She has always been a superstar, whether its sitting for a 3 hour MRI, having blood tests, or keeping calm when she is in for surgery. The team at GOSH are amazing, so we are hoping to raise some money to show our appreciation to them for keeping our little girl healthy.
We have seen how much of a difference the charity has made to Lily in making the experience of going to hospital far less scary. They provide toys, books, staff who are dedicated to helping the kids play and areas to go and have fun whilst waiting for appointments. It is an incredible charity making a difference to lots of little people.
My husband is also raising money for running the London Marathon for GOSH here

RBC Race for the Kids 2026
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
