I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids

We’re taking part in Race for the Kids for our daughter, Lexie, and for the incredible team at Great Ormond Street Hospital who have looked after her throughout her cancer treatment.
Since Lexie was diagnosed with 2024, GOSH has become a huge part of our lives. Through chemotherapy, radiotherapy, countless appointments, scans, procedures and difficult days, they have cared for her — and for us — with extraordinary kindness and expertise.
Lexie has shown us what strength really looks like. She has been through more than any child should have to, yet somehow continues to make us laugh, keep us on our toes and face everything in her own very Lexie way.
We’re doing this race to celebrate her strength and resilience, to say thank you to the people who have helped get her here, and to raise money so GOSH can continue to be there for other children and families when they need them most.
Every donation, however big or small, means so much to us. ❤️

RBC Race for the Kids 2026

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
