Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
Our son Louis was born last year with a complex congenital heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot, which required life saving open-heart surgery at just 5 months old.
His operation was carried out at Great Ormond Street Hospital, where the team there gave him not only expert care but also kindness and hope when we needed it most.
Thanks to them he’s now thriving.
To say thank you and support other families, we are taking part in the 2k walk this October for Great Ormond Street Charity.
Any support means the world to us!

RBC Race for the Kids 2026
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
Please consider sponsoring me. Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.

I read your story and it moved me deeply. As a parent myself, I can only imagine how hard those months must have been, the fear, the waiting, the strength it takes to get through something like that. Your son is a fighter, and so are you. I'm so glad he's doing well, and it means a lot that you're now using this experience to help other families. Sending you all my love and support
