I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids

As a first step in my charity journey, and as an emotional milestone on the path towards completing my first marathon, I successfully completed my first March for Men 5K in support of prostate cancer awareness at Battersea Park on 13 June 2026. I was proud to reach my fundraising target thanks to the generosity and support of family, friends, and well-wishers.
Now, I am taking the next step. On 10 October 2026, I will be participating in the Race for the Kids 5K, jogging alongside my 3-year-old child to raise funds and awareness for children in need. This event is especially close to my heart, as it aims to support young children and help provide them with the care, treatment, and opportunities they deserve.
Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a meaningful difference. Even a donation of £1 can help support vital services and potentially change a child’s life.

RBC Race for the Kids 2026

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
