I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids

I’m fairly new to running, but 5Ks have become part of my ordinary routine. However as ordinary as they may be, this one means more than just fitness. I’m running to give back to a hospital that’s given so much to young children like my little cousin Mahi, and all of their loved ones.
Mahi was born with a rare genetic condition called Cri du Chat that impacted her development and communitcation skills. She’s faced more than her fair share of challenges, but through it all she has always remained a resillient, funny, and loving young girl. Due to the rarity of Mahi’s condition not many people have heard of it, and while I hope this fundraiser raises plenty for GOSH, I also hope this helps educates a wider audience about Cri du Chat and helps develop and expand the resources and support available to those born with it and also their loved ones.
The care and support that GOSH provide continue to make a huge difference in lives of many children like Mahi, helping them live with as much joy and adventure that as they possibly can. Every donation helps GOSH continue their incredible work for children and families who need them.
On behalf of myself and Mahi, thank you for your support, every penny makes a difference 🩷

RBC Race for the Kids 2025

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.

Please consider sponsoring me. Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.
