Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
Hi! I’m Buddy 🐾
I’m the 3 month old furry lead fundraiser puppy for Team GO BUDDY! My main job is fetching sticks, giving wet-nose kisses, and keeping up with my favourite human, Jax.
Jax is my hero. Long before I came along, when she was just a tiny baby, she fought a really big fight against liver cancer. Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) stepped in and saved her life. Thanks to the extraordinary doctors and nurses there, and a lot of bravery, Jax is now cancer-free, fully discharged, and living life at full speed.
We’re running the GOSH Race for Kids because every single child deserves the chance to grow up, run free, and live a healthy, happy life. GOSH gave our family the greatest gift imaginable: Jax’s future. We want to help them do the same for other children by raising funds for their new world-class Children’s Cancer Centre.
I'll be running 5k with Jax and her friends (possibly with a few breaks to sniff some things..)

RBC Race for the Kids 2026
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
