We’re joining the race to help beat childhood cancer by taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
I am 12 years old, and I have always wanted to become a runner. I have told myself many times that I should start running, but somehow I kept putting it off!
So, this time, I decided to challenge myself in a different way by taking part in RBC Race for the Kids and running for charity. I thought that having a real goal, while also raising money for a good cause, would give me the motivation I need to finally get started.
For me, this isn’t just about completing a race. I want to use this challenge to build discipline, consistency and confidence, and hopefully turn running into a regular part of my everyday life rather than something I keep saying I will do “one day”.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, would mean a lot to me. It will not only help support the organization and the important work it does for children and families, but will also encourage me to keep training, improving and pushing myself.
I am hoping that by taking on this challenge, I can prove to myself that starting something is often the hardest part and that with a little determination and consistency, I can achieve something I have been putting off for a long time.
