I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids

Deniz is 5 years old, and one of his favourite things in the world is falling asleep while cuddling his mummy.
It makes Deniz very sad to know that some children his age have to sleep in a hospital because of health problems. He wishes that every child could be at home, safe and comfortable, falling asleep in their mummy’s arms.
Deniz knows how scary it can feel at night when he cannot cuddle his mummy, and he does not want children in the hospital to feel scared either.
That is why, just like last year, while his mummy runs a 5K, Deniz will complete the distance on his scooter. He is doing this to help support children and families, so that more children can return home healthy and live a beautiful, long life surrounded by the people who love them most.

RBC Race for the Kids 2026

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.

Please consider sponsoring me. Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.
