I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids

I want my kids to grow up knowing that not everyone has it easy. Some families are going through things we can’t even imagine. If we can help make that a bit easier, or put a smile on a kid’s face who’s having a rough time, then we should.
This is as much about teaching my children as it is about the money. I want them to understand that giving back matters and I hope this is just the start for them, not a one-off.
Marleigh’s 7. She’s a good kid, kind-hearted. When I told her what the money was for, she was puzzled, she couldn’t believe kids get cancer too. Straight away she said:
“Let’s do it, Mummy.”
So that’s what we’re doing. Thanks for backing us!

RBC Race for the Kids 2026

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.

We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
