Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
For Rayan and Cayden, running is about much more than crossing a finish line—it is about running with purpose. Whenever there is an opportunity to lace up their trainers and support a meaningful cause, they jump right in, eager to raise awareness and make a positive difference in the community.
This year, they are taking on the RBC Race for the Kids in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).
Every single day, GOSH provides world-class care, pioneering treatments, and hope to seriously ill children and their families during some of the toughest moments of their lives. Rayan and Cayden are deeply inspired by the incredible work the doctors, nurses, and support teams do around the clock. While they know they are only young, they believe that no effort is too small when it comes to helping other children in need.
Taking part in this run is their way of giving back and doing their part to support life-changing care. Every stride they take is dedicated to the brave young patients at GOSH.
If you are able to support their journey, any donation—big or small—will go directly toward helping GOSH continue its extraordinary work. Thank you so much for cheering Rayan and Cayden on and helping them make an impact!
Small Steps, Big Impact: Rayan and Cayden Take on the RBC Race for the Kids
For Rayan and Cayden, putting on their running trainers has become a meaningful habit. Over the past three years, they have regularly taken part in the local hospice mini marathon, and after running the RBC Race for the Kids last year, they were determined to take on the challenge once again.
Supporting great causes has always driven them to cross the finish line. They know firsthand that giving back is about showing up and doing what you can, no matter how small it might seem.
This year’s run is especially close to their hearts as they dedicate their miles to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH). The hospital does remarkable, life-changing work every single day, providing world-class care and comfort to seriously ill children and their families during their most difficult moments. Rayan and Cayden find that dedication genuinely inspiring and are proud to play a small part in raising awareness and funds for young patients who need it most.
Every training run, every local event, and every mile completed is a reminder that community and kindness go hand in hand.
If you would like to follow their journey or help them reach their fundraising goal for GOSH, any support or words of encouragement mean the world to them. Thank you for always cheering them on!
RBC Race for the Kids 2026
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
Please consider sponsoring me. Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.
