I'm joining the race to help beat childhood cancer

I’m taking part in Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity’s family festival and fun run, RBC Race for the Kids, to raise money to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Earlier this year, my best friend’s little girl, who I love like my own niece, was diagnosed with BPDCN (blastic plasmacytoid dendritic cell neoplasm), a rare and aggressive blood cancer. She is just 4 years old and yet the bravest fighter we know.

From the very start, GOSH has been there every step of the way, giving her and her family the care, support, and hope they desperately need. They don’t just treat children; they support entire families, guiding them through a journey no-one ever expects to take.

To give back to this incredible hospital and to help beat childhood cancer, we are taking part in the RBC Race for the Kids. Together, we’ll be completing a 2k race, running with love, determination, and hope for our beautiful girl and for every child fighting cancer.

By raising funds, we want to ensure GOSH can continue their life-changing work; funding pioneering research, developing kinder treatments, and providing the best possible care for children and families who need it most.
