Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
My name is Rocco and I am 6 years old.
I am taking part in RBC Race for the Kids because I want to help raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity and help other children who are poorly.
My Grandad, who has sadly passed away, was a paediatrician and spent his life looking after and helping children. My Grandma, who also has sadly passed away, was a nurse. They both dedicated their lives to caring for other people, and I am very proud of them.
When I grow up, I would love to follow in their footsteps and help other people too. Taking part in this race is my little way of starting that journey and doing something to help children who need it.
I am really excited to take part and do my bit. I might be small, but I want to make a big difference!

RBC Race for the Kids 2026
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
