My First Ever Running Event – RBC Race for the Kids
I’ve signed up for my very first running event, and I thought, why not make it meaningful? On October 11th, I’ll be taking part in the RBC Race for the Kids — a 5K run that supports children and young people affected by cancer.
This is a unique challenge for me, not just because it’s my first race, but because of what it represents. As a student Operating Department Practitioner, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside children in hospital and seeing their strength and courage first-hand. Their resilience is inspiring, and it’s a reminder of why events like this matter.
Running 5K may not sound like much, but for me it’s about stepping up, getting out of my comfort zone, and doing something positive to support young people and their families facing some of the toughest battles.
If you’d like to support me in this challenge, whether through a donation or by cheering me on, I’d be truly grateful. Every bit of encouragement helps — and every contribution makes a difference.

RBC Race for the Kids 2025
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
Please consider sponsoring me. Together, we can build it. Together, we can help beat childhood cancer.
