Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
I’m taking part in the RBC Race for the Kids for a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.
Great Ormond Street Hospital is a place that has played an important part in my own life. I was diagnosed with Tourette syndrome at the hospital, and I will always be grateful for the care, support and understanding I received during that time.
Having personally experienced the support that Great Ormond Street Hospital provides, I know how important its work is for children and young people and their families. Behind every patient is a family, a story and a journey, and the hospital is there to support them through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Taking part in this race is my way of giving something back to a place that has helped me. I want to raise as much money as possible to support the incredible work they continue to do and help give other children and young people the same opportunity to receive the specialist care and support they need.
This isn’t just a race for me. It’s personal. ❤️

RBC Race for the Kids 2026
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
