Isabella is turning ONE… and we’re running to celebrate! 💛

This October, our beautiful Isabella turns one year old. One whole year of smiles, cuddles, giggles, and proving to us every single day just how strong she is.

Many of you know that last year our family went through the most terrifying experience of our lives. Our tiny baby became seriously unwell, and there were moments when we didn’t know if we would get to bring our little girl home. The fear of losing your child is something no parent ever forgets.

During those dark days, Great Ormond Street Hospital became a place of hope, compassion, and incredible expertise. The amazing GOSH team carried out vital metabolic and genetic testing for Isabella, supported her care, and helped us find answers when we desperately needed them. We will be forever grateful for everything they did for our family.

Although Isabella’s journey was not with cancer, we know that many families arriving at GOSH are facing that devastating reality. We know what it feels like to sit with uncertainty, to hope for good news, and to wish you could take away your child’s pain.

That is why, to celebrate Isabella’s first birthday and the incredible gift of her being healthy and thriving, we are taking on the GOSH 5K to support their vital work — including research into childhood cancers and other serious childhood illnesses.

Behind every child treated at GOSH is a family hoping for more time, more memories, and more milestones. Through research, dedication, and innovation, GOSH helps create brighter futures for children facing some of the hardest journeys imaginable.

Childhood illness can happen to any family, at any time. Together, we can help fund the research and care that gives children more chances to laugh, play, grow, and celebrate birthdays just like Isabella’s.

RBC Race for the Kids 2026

GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
