Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
My son is under the care of Great Ormond Street Hospital for a rare congenital heart condition, and Great Ormond Street and everyone who works there have been nothing short of amazing in supporting him and our family.
Throughout our journey, we’ve met so many other children and families facing their own challenges and receiving care at GOSH. Seeing first-hand the incredible work that the hospital does has made me want to give something back for a long time.
This year, I’m taking part in the RBC Race for the Kids alongside my daughter and some close friends. Although the fundraising from this race is supporting the development of the new Children’s Cancer Centre, it feels incredibly meaningful to me to be able to support other children and families at the hospital that has done so much for my own son.
Jack is very much at the heart of why I’m taking part. Every step is my way of saying thank you to the amazing people at Great Ormond Street and helping them continue to provide life-changing care to children and their families.

RBC Race for the Kids 2026
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
