Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
I want to participate in the RBC Race for the Kids because I want to use something I enjoy to support a cause that makes a real difference to children and their families.
Great Ormond Street Hospital provides life-changing care to seriously ill children, and I want to do my part, however small, to support the work they do. Taking part in the race gives me the opportunity to challenge myself, raise money for an important cause and help contribute towards the new Children’s Cancer Centre.
I’m also looking forward to taking part alongside other people who share the same goal. Knowing that every step I take can help give children with cancer a better chance and a better childhood makes the challenge even more meaningful.

Done a 5k to prep. Bested my previous PB of 24:31 by a min and got 23:26!!
RBC Race for the Kids 2026
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
