Why I'm taking part in RBC Race for the Kids
On 10th October, Aydin will be taking part in the RBC Race for the third year in a row, alongside his friends Danyal, Noar and Alan. Together, they’ll be running 5K to support the new cancer building at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
This year is especially meaningful for Aydin, as it also marks 3 years in remission from leukaemia. 🎗️❤️
GOSH has been such an incredible part of Aydin’s journey. The amazing doctors, nurses and staff have cared for him with so much dedication, kindness and compassion, and we will always be incredibly grateful for everything they have done for him and our family.
To be able to celebrate three years in remission by running 5K for the hospital that has been there for us is incredibly special. 🌟

RBC Race for the Kids 2026
GOSH already cares for children with the hardest to treat cancers, and new treatments are giving hope to children and their families. But these advances have outstripped GOSH's current cancer facilities.
We need a new home for breakthrough treatments and pioneering research, so we can save more children's lives. And because cancer shouldn't get to steal anyone's childhood, we need a place that's more than a hospital – a place that's a school, a playground, a garden, and so much more.
